1. Real Love by Atiqa Odho is your answer if you want a red that is easily accessible in Pakistan and not heavy on the pocket. The color: a true, bright red, is a perfect shade for Asian skin tones. If you think red lipstick makes you look older, then Real Love is your saving grace. The bright pop of red has a moisturising finish. It is easy to apply and but may bleed without a lip liner. Also because of the finish, the lasting power may not be as impressive. Read complete review here.
2. L'Oréal Paris Color Riche Exclusive Red in J Lo is another one of our favorites! It is a deep, dark ruby red. The pigmentation is impressive and the color is perfect for the generic Asian skin tones. It you want more intense and vibrant colour, you can also opt for L'Oréal Paris Exclusive Red Lipstick in Blake. It is pure Hollywood Glam with the most intense pigmentation but may not complement very dark skin tones like J Lo does. Read complete review on L'oreal Paris's Color Riche Exclusive Pure Reds Collection here.
3. Our Editor-in-chief says if there was one lipstick she was to wear for the rest of her life, it would be ColourPop's Weekender. ColourPop's Matte X Lippie Stix in Weekender is more matte than your average matte. It goes on seamlessly to give pop of bright red. Anyone that is afraid of wearing dark lipsticks will appreciate it because the colour appears vibrant and youthful despite being relentlessly matte. The matteX formula, however, leads the lipstick to crumble on the inner part of your lips. It is recommended to exfoliate your lips before wearing this lipstick. You can now order ColourPop yourself at its actual $ rates. Read this article for further information.
4. ColourPop's Ultra Matte Lip in Ribbon is the truest red. It is intense with an opaque finish straight from your dreams, the shade every red fan needs to own. Once set, it does not budge and stays put for long hours. The ultra matte is not easy to remove so we recommend outlining your lips first to avoid any accidental disasters. The formula can be drying after a few hours of wear so it is recommended to exfoliate before application.
5. Since you may not be able to rock some of these lipstick on their own, we have their perfect companion to help you with application and staying power. Essence Long lasting Lipliner in 01 Ready for Red comes in an easy to use twist up packaging. While the formula is not the creamiest out there, it applies without severe tugging and pulling and prevents your lipstick from bleeding.
If you are afraid of wearing bright reds but still love struck enough to crave it, we would recommend ColourPop's Utlra Satin Lip in Lost.
It is a warm red with a mix of brown. ColourPop's breakthrough satin formula is comfortable to wear and provides decent lasting power without being excessively drying. However, the formula transfers easily and does not have the ultimate lasting power of an Ultra Matte lipstick.
