A spinoff of highlighting and strobing, here is how you can do it:
Spotlighting is rather the natural take on highlighting. It involves enhancing the points on the face, where natural light actually hits. Since, it gives a natural, lit from within glow, you need to use a product that will impart a glow to your face without any shimmery particles.
Start by applying a serum or an extra moisturizing nourishing primer on your face. This will help to impart a lit from with in glow to your face. It will also ensure that your makeup goes on effortlessly and blends to give a seamless finish, aka buffing. Read about buffing in detail here.
We love to use the Essence Cosmetics Color Control UV Makeup Base. This is one of our favourite pocket friendly bases. It keeps the face moisturised and imparts a dewy finish to the face. Laura Mercier Primer is another suitable option, it works wonders and has a gorgeous pearl finish.
For the foundation try, Dior's Diorskin Nude Skin-Glowing Makeup SPF 15
This formula contains mineralized water that offers hydration, radiance, and allow the skin's natural radiance and color to shine through, appearing luminous in any light.
Next finish off by highlighting your cheek bones, your brow bones, the tip of your nose and your cupid's bow! Remember not to use a shimmery highlighter.
For the best results, skip powder. Instead use a makeup setting spray with a dewy finish! Try NYX's setting spray in dewy. It has a comfortable and light weight formula that helps to keep your makeup put for long hours and offers a nice glow as well.
Happy Spotlighting!
