My Experience:
Remember when we were all going gaga over Luscious' Contour Kit? Well we have another thing to be excited about; they have launched another variant of their best seller kit!
The original Contour Kit was a hit and a miss. While a lot of people loved it, some highlighted a few issues. The new Contour Kit Matte Drama is an addition and at the same time an improvement to the Luscious contour range. Before I even talk about how the product performs, I want to commend Luscious on hearing out the demands of their customers and introducing new changes.
Luscious Cosmetics Contour Kit Matte Drama comes in the exact same packaging as the earlier version. You get the extremely compact tin palette without a mirror or a brush. I prefer it without the mirror though because a mirror would have ruined the aesthetic appeal and made the palette heavy and less compact. Just like last time, you also get an illustrated guide to help you get the most out of your palette.
The palette contains two contour shades that are completely different than the previous ones. The highlighter is a different shade and cream rather than powder. The luminizer has also been switched with a matte highlighter.

The contour shades are named Medium Drama and Dark Drama. Medium Drama is slightly different than Dark Contour from previous palette. In a good way because it is perfectly cool-toned.

Below is its comparison with cult favourite Anastasia Beverly Hills contour powder in Java.

Before I got the palette in mail, I had seen some online pictures and swatches that made me a bit sceptical about dark drama. It simply did not look like a contour shade. But now that I have been using it, it SLAYS. The dark tone is perfect for a chiselled look. This shade totally justifies the addition of the word drama in the name. The pigmentation of both powders is insane. Specially with dark drama I barely need to touch the brush to the pan. The powders are buttery soft and blendable like before but fallout in the pan is considerably less.
The highlighter again is my favourite and most used part of the palette. The champagne tone is wearable for every skin tone. You can use a light hand for everyday wear or layer it on for a glam night out. And the best part is that it does not highlight pores. Luscious gets an A for mastering this formula. Maybe they will take my hint and come out with a highlighter only palette ; )The matte highlighter is the hyped banana shade. Even though it is not as yellow as the ABH Banana powder, it does a good job of highlighting the undereye.

Here's a look we did using the luscious Contour Kit Matte Drama. For more makeup looks, don't forget to follow us on Instagram.
All in all, the new Luscious Cosmetics Contour Kit Matte Drama is without doubt a step up from their original Contour Kit. While the older version was suitable for natural contouring, aka sun-stripping (read more about sun-stripping here), the newer version creates more dramatic and accurate shadows. Additionally, the color range is better suited for the generic Asian skin tones.
- Improved shade range.
- Comes with an illustrated guide.
- Contour, highlighter and illuminator all in a single palette.
- Shade range is suitable for Asian skin tones.
- Intense pigmentation.
- Formula is easy to work with.
Cons:
- No brush and mirror may make things difficult for some though we like the palette as it is.
Price & Availability: Luscious Cosmetics Face Contour Kit is available at Luscious counters at all leading stores across the country for the price of PKR 2250 (Approx. $22). You can also buy it online at Luscious Cosmetics' website and just4girls.pk Like Luscious Cosmetics facebook page to stay updated.
