Our interview with a senior Depilex Makeup Artist revealed that natural and low key makeup look is the safe and steady way through the humid season. 1. Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector

The product comes in a long, slim tube with a screw cap and holds 40ml of product. Consistency of the BB cream is runny which is a plus and a negative at same time. The consistency makes blending easy but I am always in the fear of dispensing a lot more product than I need. It has an alcoholic scent which is not noticeable once applied. I apply the cream using my fingers and it blends like a dream without settling into fine lines. The BB cream settles into a soft matte finish with light coverage and despite yellow undertones instantly brightens up my face. It keeps my combination skin matte for upto 3 hours and this time can be stretched upto 5 hours if set with powder. 2. DMGM Secret Wonder Foundation

DMGM Secret Wonder Foundation provides medium to high coverage and is buildable. It has a very light formula that settles in the skin easily without giving the uneasy feeling of a second skin. The finish is semi-matte that works well for my oily T-zone and other parts dry facial skin. It does not make my face lustrous but does give it a subtle glow. Since the glow looks nice, I do not top it off with a pressed powder except for my T-zone as any shine there makes my face look tacky. The foundation is very long lasting and can survive easily for up to 7 to 8 hours with occasional touch ups and even then, it does not fade noticeably. It did not turn patchy or transfer so all in all it is a pretty safe bet.

3. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser

A cult beauty buy, favourite of the beauty enthusiasts! It offers a light weight coverage and goes on to deliver a smooth, even complexion with a dewy finish. The 20 SPF offers some basic protection from the sun as well.

4. Urban Decay Naked Skin Tone and Hybrid Complexion Cream

A hybrid between a light coverage foundation and a tinted moisturiser, it has undoubtedly one of the best formulas for summers. It provides a decent coverage, blurs imperfections and reduces pore appearance. It comes in a satin finish and a lightweight formula that goes on easily without feeling uncomfortable in the least.

5. Bareminerals Complexion Rescue

A light coverage that feels just as light on the skin! The perfect reprieve from the heavy formulas! We love it for its healthy, radiant glow! The diversity of shades ensures, everyone has their true match.

6. Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser
