Customized foundation is just a step away!
In January 2017, Lancome introduced our foundation mates! The brand introduced their new Lancôme's Le Teint Particulier Custom Made Makeup (priced US$ 80) , which allows you to customize your foundation shade according to your skin tone and type.

The process begins by a scan of your skin. The device detects the skin tone, pH and moisture level after which a ingredients are mixed in the right quantities to suit the skin perfectly. Unfortunately this service is available on a select few Lancome outlets in Nordstorm so we are left high and dry as it is!
Fortunately for you, we have got you covered!

With changing seasons, the skin also changes color. Since foundations can be quite expensive, it is not economical to buy a shade range to last you all round the year. For this, we recommend adding a BB cream or moisturizer to your formula. It you want a lighter coverage and color, add a drop of moisturizer to pea sized amount of foundation. For sheerer finishes, you can add upto 2 to 3 drops of moisturizer to your foundation. However, the exact same amount of product needed can always vary depending on the formula you are using and the final color you need. For darker shades, you can add a bit of bronzer to the amount of foundation you need. However, it is important here to use a matte bronzer powder unless you want to shine like a foil, and I don't mean that as a compliment at all. Also, try to use a bronzer shade you naturally tend to tan in, so that the foundation does not look like a second skin blends seamlessly. If you are trying to improve the coverage of your foundation, just add in a bit of matte loose, powder. My Body Shop Fresh Nude Foundation, tends to lean on the sheerer side so I tend to mix in a bit of mattifying powder in it whenever I am aiming for a higher coverage. However, if you are mixing some bronzer with your foundation, you may not need the loose powder at all.
