Stage Line's Formula Two Face Powder Compact is like Rimmel's Stay Matte Pressed Powder but only better. Find out how:
The Brand Claims:
- Silicone coated pigments.
- Non-drying
- Can be used wet or dry.
- Dual usage compact powder. Nautural finish and highly resistant thanks to pigments treated with amino-acids.
- Apply as a matte powder or as a concealer, or apply wet for increased coverage.
- Non-dehydrating - does not absorb the skins natural moisture due to silicone coated powder particles.
- Can also be used as a base for foundation make-up. Contains Vitamin E, Vitamin A and Ceramides.
My Experience:
Stage Line's Formula Two Face Powder Compact comes in a sleek and practical packaging with a built in mirror and an applicator sponge.
It comes in 4 variants- Light, Sand, Beige and Natural with Sand being the darkest and Light being the lightest (No Kidding Sherlock!!). I tried it in the shade Light.
The powder has a very soft texture that applies easily. The formula is very light weight and it blends effortlessly with the skin without settling into fine lines. The finish of the powder is matte. In fact it makes my face so matte that I prefer to apply it only over my T-zone and pores as I like to keep my face dewy, especially nowadays, since strobing has become such a rage. On the other hand, I like how it makes my makeup transfer resistant. With the Formula Two face Powder I can expect my transfer prone Masarrat Misbah Foundation to stay in place. It kept my foundation intact for 7 hours. I was able to stretch the wear time another 2 hours with a touchup.
Apart from its use as a pressed powder, the Formula Two Face Powder can be used as a concealer as well. The product claims that if used with a wet sponge, the coverage increases and the face powder can work as a concealer. Since the shade Light is a bit lighter than my natural skin tone, even used dry, it did a fine job at brightening my under eye. The result was particularly phenomenal when I used it with a wet sponge to conceal my under eye. You will, however, have to be careful with the amount of product you use. A single or double swipe can do the trick. More swipes can make the face look cakey.
All in all, Stage Line Formula Two Face Powder is a miracle product and a must have. Some might consider pricey but its worth every penny. You can also save some bucks by buying a refill rather than buying the compact.
Possible Dupe:
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder (Read Review Here) is a close alternative to Stage Line Formula Two Face Powder. Rimmel Stay Matte provides lesser coverage.
Pros:
My Rating: 4.75/5
