Sigma Beauty Lip Glosses have won me over with their color payoff and staying power.
The Brand Claims: The Sigma Beauty Individual Lip Gloss Collection was designed to complement any look desired. All lip glosses contain an opaque, smooth and creamy finish and are paraben-free.
My Experience:
The Sigma Beauty lip glosses I am going to review today are called Sheila and Get Ready. Both of these are originally from Sigma's Born To Be collection. You can view the whole collection here.
The packaging is absolutely elegant in its simplicity. A white cardboard box with Sigma insignia on it houses the transparent plastic container with a matte black, twist open, metal cap. The name of each shade is written on the box and the actual tube which is pretty convenient. The glosses come with a brush applicator that has its own positives and negatives. On one hand it makes precise application easier and on the other hand getting an even coverage becomes trickier.
Both glosses have a shimmer finish. Sheila is a bright fuschia pink with pink flecks in it. Definitely my favourite of the two. Get Ready has a peachy nude base with loads of gold glitter particles. I can't feel the glitter in Get Ready on my lips at all but the particles in Sheila are slightly more noticeable. Sheila provides better coverage and the color can be built up. Get Ready however is more towards the sheer side.
The glosses smell like freshly baked cookies. They have a slightly sticky texture. Not sticky in the annoying way but enough to make them stick to your lips better. The wear time is great. The color stays vibrant for about four hours. After that, it fades to a light stain that stays for another couple of hours. The formula is very hydrating and plumps up my lips beautifully.
I am not a fan of glitter in my lip products so these particular shades probably won't make it to my frequently reached for list. But I really like the formula and performance of Sigma Lip Glosses in general so I would love to try more of these in the opaque finish.
