Pond's White Beauty was relaunched in Pakistan recently. The new and improved version comes with GenWhite technology and claims to reduce dark spots giving visible results in seven days.
The Brand Claims: After years of research on more than 20,000 gene codes, Pond's Institute made the breakthrough discovery of a specific gene that determines skin color and created the GenWhite active, Dermatologist Tested. The fairness cream works from the inside-out with non-oily light feel.INSIDE: With GenWhite active, absorbs deep to fade away spots and dullness at the source*, and Anti-Oxidant Lightening action on dark circles.
OUTSIDE: Discover fairness that glows.

My Experience:
Pond's White Beauty comes in a glass container that has a matte finish to it and is topped off by a mauve plastic lid. The 50g of product it contains is pale pink in color and has a shelf life of 2 years.
Pond's White Beauty has a faint scent which I am not particularly fond of but thankfully it doesn't linger. It doesn't feel heavy and absorbs easily into the skin. But I have noticed that if I apply a thick layer it feels heavy and gets difficult to rub in so its best to apply as little as possible. It applys matte on my combination skin and keeps the face so for a good 5 hours. It doesn't appear moisturizing enough for winter. Definitely not for those with dry skin.
Recently I noticed some dark spots appearing on my face and decided to test the cream's magic on them. Unfortunately even after more than 7 days of use I can only say that my overall skin tone is more even but I haven't noticed any change in my dark spots. But then again, I don't believe the results would show so early. In my opinion, these thing take time.
All in all, Pond's White Beauty is a good daily wear moisturizer which evens out the skin at a most competitive price.
Pros:
My Rating: 3.75/5

Pros:
- Keeps the face matte for about 5 hours.
- Gives an even skin tone.
- Sinks into the skin and feels light.
- Comes in a sturdy and appealing jar.
- Inexpensive.
- Feels very heavy on face if a thick layer is applied.
- Not moisturizing enough for winters.
- Doesn't fare well on dry skin.
- Doesn't provide results in the claimed time.
- Unappealing scent.

Dark spots don't go away that quick :( It's sad this product doesn't stand to its claims. Thanks for the honest review.
ReplyDeleteIt makes the skin better but I have come to an understanding that No drugstore brand is a Miracle maker

such a nice post <3 i hear about but did not try yet following you dear i hope follow back http://shizasblog.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your review on the Ponds cream as I have used it myself too and it does very little for those nasty dark spots, but then again 7 days is too less to know a products efficiency!
ReplyDeleteIt didn't make me completely spotless in 7 days, but it certainly did lighten them. 7 days is a very short duration to expect wonders! :) x

I am def gona try this one cuz some dark spots just appeared on my face and I wanted to buy something for that.good honest review.
ReplyDeleteThanks for an honest review.
ReplyDeleteI bought my mom the 3 products from this line and she had barely used it once, haha. The night cream and the face wash is so good though.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any anti-dark spot product. It's better to try natural remedies and gentle bleaching agents like lemon juice if you wish to lighten spots or heal scars.
ReplyDeleteOh I was hearing so many good things about this cream,... too bad if it feels heavier on skin. Thanks for the honest review
ReplyDeleteI liked the previous version of this product that was launched about 2 years bsck but this one didn't come up to my expectations sadly
