It is now possible to treat all those pesky little winter skin issues that once seemed impossible to get rid of.
The Brand Claims: Glow wherever you go. Use IKON Skin Radiance Night Care to reveal your skin radiance from inside.
How To Use: Wash your face with a non medicated soap and dry with a clean towel. Apply IKON Skin Radiance softly and gently on your face and neck before going to bed at night. Do NOT use during day time.
My Experience:
IKON is the recent addition to the few promising local brands of Pakistan. IKON Skin Radiance Night Cream comes in a sturdy black packaging that carries 20g of the product. The cream smells like almond and honey and reminds me of huddling under blankets. I don't find the scent disturbing but some people might not like such a strong lingering smell.
The cream has a pale yellow color. The consistency is really thick like a cream foundation. Blending it in the skin is really hard. Also I have noticed that if I apply too much, it feels very heavy and greasy on the skin. Because of this, I pick up the tiniest possible amount at a time so it becomes relatively easier to blend and doesn't feel really heavy. Despite its heavy consistency I have not faced any breakouts due to IKON Skin Radiance. It is not, however, something that I think can be easily used in summer. Specially by someone with combination skin like mine.
Coming to its claims, all I can say is that I am impressed. The results are gradual but you do get them. Saying that IKON Skin Radiance acts like a healing balm is the best description that comes to my mind. After the regular use of one week I noticed that my skin had gone from dry and flaked to healthy and glowing without the help of any other other product. It also gets rid of dry patches in a few days but if I want to speed up the process, I cleanse my face with Well-Beeing Bee-Awake Facial Cleanser in the morning. The cream might not be able to make a "Gora Pakistan" like Zubaida Aapa's Whitening Soap does but it does help remove tan and lighten dark spots with regular use. I can not say anything about the claims regarding Acne since, thanks to God, I don't have any. The cream does contain Salicylic Acid, however, and that helps treat acne. Whatever magic IKON has used in this one makes my pores disappear. I hope they use that same voodoo in a day cream.
One of my concerns regarding the cream was that it contains parabens. However, FDA (U.S Food And Drug Administration) believes that at the present time there is no reason for consumers to be concerned about the use of cosmetics containing parabens. This position is continually evaluated. I will link the detailed post ----> here for your reading.
To sum it up, IKON Skin Radiance Night Cream is a gem that gives you many benefits without being heavy on pocket. Me and Maria will be giving away one soon. Stay tuned to our facebook page.
Pros:
My Rating: 4/5

ReplyDeleteThe brand just launched at the end of last year Sorath. That is why you haven't heard about it...
DeleteFirst time heard about it, but looks like promising, and really appreciating its price range, at least everybody can get this easily.

ReplyDeleteHi hira i have normal to oily skin, n pores plz suggest me is ikon cream suitable for me because i want to glow, thnx
ReplyDeleteHi sweets. I also have combination to oily skin but I love using IKON in winter to keep my skin hydrated and soft so you can definitely give it a try in the colder days. It is not supposed to provide a glow however as it is a night cream and is to be used while going to bed. But if you are exfoliating regularly while using this, IKON can give a very fresh and healthy looking skin.
DeleteThnx a lot hira...
DeleteHi Hira! Can u tell me that I have normal to oily skin n pores too, should I use this Ikon cream?
ReplyDeleteDoes it contains steroid?
