My Experience:
The color I am reviewing today is 603 which is a pearly pale pink with silver shimmer. Its the kind of cool toned shade that is not my usual cup of tea but I completely fell in love with this one. At first I thought it would only suit cooler skin tones but on the contrary it looks very feminine and eye catching on darker tones too. The color is not supposed to be opaque. You can use it as a base for french manicures and nail art or layer it alone to make a statement.
Inglot O2M comes in a classic, elegant, no fuss bottle. I was expecting the applicator to be something special but it is pretty standard. The nail polish spreads evenly without any streaks and dries pretty fast. Another thing I noticed is that it stays for quiet some days, probably longer than any other nail color I have used, even without any topcoat or basecoat.
Inglot O2M also contains Polymer KS_02 which according to Inglot "Allows moisture and oxygen to pass through to keep nails in the best condition". It means that even with a layer of nail polish covering your nails, they get necessary moisture and oxygen to prevent them from drying and to keep them in healthy condition. If you wear nail polish regularly, you will understand the need for something like this. This claim from Inglot however, led people to believe that Inglot O2M is a nail polish that doesn't render ablution (wudhu).
Although Inglot has made no claim as to if you can perform wudhu while wearing inglot O2M, since it is question everyone asks in relation to the nail polish, I decided to conduct a little experiment to find out the answer for you all.
First lets settle a few things, I am by no means claiming to be very knowledgeable religiously and am writing just my own opinion. Secondly, being able to perform ablution while wearing Inglot O2M is not one of Inglot's claim so cut them some slack no matter what the outcome is. Thirdly, water passes through Inglot O2M in form of vapours, not like dripping water.
What I did was apply Inglot O2M on one piece of tissue paper and a regular nail polish (Rimmel Salon Pro) on another and left them both to dry.
Then I put a few drops of water on both nail polish swatches. The water just kept on moving on both swatches as it would on any non-absorbant surface. The underside of both tissues remained dry.
As I mentioned earlier that water passes through Inglot as vapours rather than in liquid form I pressed and rubbed water on the swatches to get it to pass through but still the result was same. The tissues remained dry.
So in my opinion, you can not perform ablution while wearing Inglot O2M. Again it should not make any difference because it is not one of Inglot's claim.
All in all, with its staying power and breathable qualities Inglot O2M is a must try for every nail polish lover.

Pros:
  • Allows moisture and oxygen to pass through.
  • Good staying power.
  • Applys without clumps and streaks.
  • Dries quickly.
  • Toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and camphor free.
  • Wide color range.
Cons:
  • Applicator is thin and ordinary.
  • A bit pricey!
Price & Availability: In Pakistan, Inglot O2M Breathable Nail Enamel can be bought from Inglot O2M's Pakistan facebook page for PKR 1250. Internationally it can be bought from Inglot's website for a price ranging from $10 to $15 depending on which country you live in.
My Rating; 4.5/5

I hope I have answered all your concerns. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
Love,
Hira.

Have you tried Inglot O2M Nail Enamel? What do you think about its claims of being breathable?

  2. you did a great job with experiment. But I believe Inglot did make that claim when were launching this nail product. I remember how they post a picture of girl wearing hijab and one of their spokesman, who explained all its formula and stuff was also a Muslim guy. And was super excited :).

  6. wow great color and lovely review. However I think the test was not a good measure of thenail polish's ability because you used tissue paper.it is already porous and as it is paper nail polish might have bonded with it altering the properties.Maybe an enameled surface would have been better ^_^ Good effort though and love the motive <3
