MAC LIGHTFUL C 2-IN-1 RADIANCE BOOSTER FEATURING LAHORE FASHION WORLD

Is this product the answer to your prayers for a radiant complexion?

The Brand Claims: M·A·C Lightful C 2-in-1 Tint & Serum with Radiance Booster is housed in an innovative dual-chamber bottle that holds two potent formulas—a high-tech treatment serum and an incandescent tint. Both formulas target a multitude of skin concerns, from dark spots and dehydration to uneven skin tone, all with the help of the Lightful C Radiant Booster, chock-full of cucumber extract, apple extract, Baikal skullcap extract and vitamin C to promote robust brightening.
How To Use: Use the lightweight, translucent serum at night to curb hyperpigmentation. Use the tinted serum during the day to continue the brightening effects while instantly evening skin tone and adding luminosity. Use product twice a day for maximum benefits.

My Experience:
MAC Lightful C is a dedicated range by the brand to help you get radiant skin. The Lightful C 2-in-1 Tint and Serum holds two separately packaged products in one bottle. You get the white packaging with the trendy holo effect as can be seen in the whole range. The interesting bit is that the bottom half of the bottle can be screwed off. The top part carries a serum that can be dispensed with a pump. The bottom half has a standard screw off lid and contains the tinted version of the serum housed in the top part of the bottle. You get both the serum and the tinted serum in the same quantity of 25 ml.
The serum on top is milky with a gel like consistency. It absorbs into the skin without leaving any residue or feeling tacky. This makes is hassle free for me due to my combination to oily skin. I used it under my makeup which I, as always, set using my Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder (Read review here) and there was no slip or slide. What needs to noted her is that the serum has no shimmer or iridescence. It is called a radiance booster in reference to the ingredients which improve overall radiance of the skin.
The tinted serum is meant to be worn as your makeup or underneath your sunscreen as a traditional serum, albeit one that has a bit of color to it. It is almost identical in formula to its counterpart. The tint has virtually zero coverage and I can not skip a concealer with it even if I could do without a foundation. While the tint lends no coverage the effect on the skin is more noticeable with this one. It makes my skin look very healthy and glowy. Again not it the shimmery sense but more like a glow from within.
For now the serum is available in five shades. I used the shade 02 Medium which is light for me but you can barely tell because of the barely there coverage. What I did not like about this was that because of the screw top I had to tip the product out and it sometimes got a bit messy.
Other than being easy to wear the product contain some very promising ingredients for long term benefits. Vitamin C, turmeric root extract, rice bran extract and cucumber extract are just the few that ensure the product delivers on it’s promise of radiant skin and reducing hyperpigmentation.
All in all, MAC Lightful C 2-in-1 Tint and Serum with Radiance Booster is a promising product with only a few shortcomings. While I like the idea of combining the regular and tinted serum in a bottle, I do not get the point of the tinted serum if I am not getting any coverage out of it and can not skip my makeup. I would rather just wear the regular serum and them do my makeup like I normally would.

Pros:
  • You get two separately packaged products in one bottle.
  • Generous quantity
  • Leaves no residue or tacky feeling.
  • Available in five shades
  • Beneficial ingredients like Vitamin C, turmeric root extract, rice bran extract and cucumber extract
Cons:
  • Tinted serum has virtually no coverage.
  • There can be spillage because of the absence of a pump on the tinted serum
  • The product is a bit on the pricey side

Price & Availability: MAC Lightful C 2-in-1 Tint and Serum with Radiance Booster retails for the price of USD 60 and can be found at Nordstrom.

Where To Buy: I got the serum from Lahore Fashion World which is a widely known and trusted page when it comes to shopping fashion from the US. Recently they have also expanded into IKEA furniture and all sorts of makeup and skincare items. They have periodic preorders with instock items available at their page as well.
The best part is that you can always be sure about the authenticity of the products. The ordering process is also very simple with special perks if you are residing in Lahore. Lahoris can get free delivery plus the option of cash on delivery. The delivery charges for other cities are Rs. 200. However if you are placing a preorder, half of the payment is made in advance via bank transfer or easy paisa.

My Rating: 4.25/5
