Recently we got nominated for the Liebster Award for Bloggers by Iraj Butt of Iraj's Jewels and Fatemah Sajwani of MS Designer Wear blog. Thanks a lot both of you.
We were recently nominated by a lot of girls that we were not even able to keep track of the nominations. Even if we are not able to answer everyones questions right away due to our busy schedule, we will add a link to their blogs in this post.
This is how the award works:
HT: If I was asked this question some time earlier, I would have said eyeliner but now a days the answer is definitely lipstick.
MT:Now a days its all about lipsticks for me. I have to have in my bag at least the one shade I am wearing. Sometimes I even carry more.
We were recently nominated by a lot of girls that we were not even able to keep track of the nominations. Even if we are not able to answer everyones questions right away due to our busy schedule, we will add a link to their blogs in this post.
This is how the award works:
- Post the award on your blog.
- Thank the blogger who presented this award and link back to their blog.
- Nominate 11 bloggers who you feel deserve this award and who have less than 200 followers.
- Answer 11 questions posted by the presenter and ask your nominees 11 questions.
What Fatemah asked us:
1.What is your one makeup essential that you never leave your house without?HT: If I was asked this question some time earlier, I would have said eyeliner but now a days the answer is definitely lipstick.
MT:Now a days its all about lipsticks for me. I have to have in my bag at least the one shade I am wearing. Sometimes I even carry more.
2. Why did you start blogging?
HT: I have always been that person who loves dressing up. As I grew older I became more concious of how much grooming decently done makeup provides. I started following makeup blogs and became acquitted with different makeup products. Seeing how important the role of a beauty blogger was; how everyone depended on blogger's advice pushed me to think of starting a blog.
MT: It was a few months ago when I first noticed Hira following all these blogs. Honestly at that time I did not even know what a blog was supposed to mean so I inquire her about this and before I know I am already going crazy over the lot of them. It was after I started my A-levels when I realized the importance of having a good hobby to get into the best universities. That settled it all and hence paved the path for us to enter the blogging world.
3. Lipstick or lip gloss?
HT: Lipstick for sure.
MT: What do you reckon??????????
4. What is your best memory or achievement while blogging?
HT: So far there has been nothing big but whenever I read an appreciative comment, its an achievement for me.
MT: What better than opening your blog and realising how far you have come; the fact that every moment of misery, time spent and equivalent to each second was worth it.
HT: Most people don't appreciate good but keep on criticising the bad things.
MT: When we announced the winner of our give away ,a lady who could not win became very vehement and even used hurtful language even though it was a lucky draw and not everyone could win. So the worst thing is that some people don't appreciate what you do, instead they go on to blame you for things you are not responsible for.
9. Your passion other than beauty blogging?
HT: Nail art, listening to songs and I am absolutely hooked to many TV series these days.
MT: Watching TV as if the program I am watching will be the last to be ever telecasted.
10. What would be the last makeup product you would apply to your face?
HT: Tanning spray.
MT: No idea as I am not acquainted with many makeup products but I think a tanning spray will indeed suffice.
11. Your tips for new bloggers?
HT: People are not going to appreciate your work right away. Instead you will face really harsh criticism. Do not let it get to your heart and try to improve your work. Do not give up. Blogging requires you to be passionate. Not only about the products you review but also about blogging itself.
MT: Be patient. Work hard but with dedication and determination. Efforts do not go unrewarded just don't let go of perseverance and steadfastness.

11. How you feel after entering the blogosphere?
Its been what we call a roller coaster ride. There is a lot of difference in seeing a website or blog and being a part of the efforts required to get it up and running. Our first lesson was to appreciate everything as we have no idea how much effort has been put into something. So far, every part of it has been a learning experience for us.
Our Nominations:

5. One clothing item which has been in your wardrobe forever?
HT: My mom threw it away few days ago :p
MT: I get bored very easily. The maximum I can tolerate an item is two years. Then it is old, austere and there are always better options to choose from.
6. A makeup product that disappointed you to death?
HT: I do extensive research before buying a product. So there has not been any big disappointment as yet.
MT: When I go out shopping I am extremely careful, looking out for any flaws that might exist in a product so as for now there has not been a disappointment. Also it was only recently when I took the matter of buying cosmetics in my own hands.
7. The best thing about being a blogger?
HT: I can talk my heart out. Which is a big plus as I love to talk.
MT: People rely on your advice and comments.
8. The worst thing about being a blogger?MT: People rely on your advice and comments.

ReplyDeleteLadies M & H ,how do you manage a blog in between a busy schedule?
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that blogging requires a lot of time.(Correct me in case I'm wrong & leave some management tips)
Isn't blogging at the expense of failing in exams when they are approaching fast?
A random question from my side!
I am sure those who have their exams dont stop watching tv or doing something else they like. You just have to keep your priorities straight.
DeleteWhenever I eat dry fruit , I get pimples within few hours.Any tips girls apart from the advice that don't eat them.
ReplyDeleteDo an article on how to cope with pimples in winters. It would be much appreciated.
Sorry I cant be of much help in that department. You should consult a dermatologist and if you cant stop eating dry fruits then maybe you can keep the quantity in check. You can also try Essence's pure skin range. I haven't tried it myself but I think you will find something for your problem in it.
DeleteHope it helps :)
