THERE'S A CRAZY REASON WHY YOUR HIGH END FOUNDATION LOOKS CAKEY!

There is a good reason why even with a good primer, a great foundation and a setting spray, your foundation still separates.
We have all been there! Investing in an expensive foundation and still failing to good great results. And this can hurt, I agree. While some of the best high end foundations are expensive on their own, if you get them delivered to Pakistan, you have probably paid a lot of custom and other taxes, so you will probably hurt more.
But it does not have to anyone.
It is true that at times, some foundations do not sit well with the chemistry of your skin. No matter how raved and celebrated a formula it is! Every skin is different and you can help it if it does. To make it hurt less, however, you can try samples first before making the investment. Big names like Sephora and in house makeup shops provide samples so you can easily test and try foundations out to your satisfaction before making the commitment.
But there is another crazy reason too! One that you have neglected for long and here's it:
Sometimes your foundation separates and looks cakey because your foundation and primer do not have the same base. i.e If your foundation is silicone based, and your primer isn't.
Since the two products are different in their chemistry, this causes the two to react and the result is havoc on the face.
This is probably also the reason for why your MM Silk Foundation may look cakey on you! (The MM Silk foundation is a local of most but this can apply to those who find the formula looks cakey, on them. The Masarrat Makeup Silk Foundation is a silicone based formula and a water based primer may not work well with it! Here is all you need to know about the formulas of your favortie local foundations!
To ensure this does not happen try pairing formulas that are similar in their chemical consistency. Pair a water based foundation with a water based primer and vice versa.
Alaina Ho, compiled a list of over a 100 primers and foundations according to their types, diving them according to their formulas; water , silicone or oil based. You can check the list down below for details or visit it here.
The list include products from both high ends brands like Illmasqua to drugstore favorites like Essence. This list is heplful for anyone who is eager to learn about their foundation and make the best of it!
