The roads were blocked for a typical Saturday evening on 17 December and as we made our way to Royal Palm's Executive Lounge for Bioderma's Meet and Greet event, we were afraid we were quite late already, but that's the thing about packed roads: if you are late, then others are too. Conveniently so, the hall was more empty than full and the event didn't start until 6, which was half an hour before it was officially supposed to end. Talk about being fashionably late! The event soon picked up momentum under the leadership of the brand's marketing head.
He started off with a helpful description of the brand's philosophy: Teaching the skin to live according to its natural biology. This means that Bioderma's products keep the skin its natural age, and prevent it from ageing or being younger than its actual age.
He further talked about the brand's bestseller Sensibio H2O Makeup Remover. According to the brand, a Sensibio H2O is sold every 3 seconds in the world!
Following it, the Bioderma team performed tests to detect the skin types of the attendees along with helpful skincare guidelines for the respective skin types.
Here is all that makes the product so special: The product is multi tasker: it cleanses, tones and refreshes the skin. The mycellar water in it is compatible with the chemistry of the skin and remove all makeup residues from the skin, all the while preventing the skin from being stripped of its natural moisture. The pH 5 of the product matches, the normal skin pH. It is safe for use on most skin types without any skin reaction. The cucumber extracts ensure a fresh looking skin and you don't even have to wash your face after using it. Though most of us will never be comfortable with this!
