Essence Metal Glam Eyeshadow comes in a sleek sturdy packaging that contains 2.7g of product and is an absolute love at first sight. The eye shadow we got is called Choco-Chic and is a dark brown color.
At first glance the eye shadow appears all glittery. You have to use it to realize that its just glitter over spray. Under that, the texture of the eye shadow is extremely soft and satiny, almost creamy. This texture renders it difficult to apply with a brush as the product presses into the pan instead of clinging to the bristles. So it is better if you apply it with a sponge applicator.
Pigmentation is good enough but the eye shadow needs a primer to hold onto its place. It would be better if you use a primer underneath to ensure it adheres well. An alternative, in case you don't have a primer, would be to use a wet brush. This makes up for the lack of the primer and improves the pigmentation as well. A lot actually.
Even though the pigmentation and texture is good, I don't think I would buy more of these.
Pros:
- Sturdy packaging.
- Glitter over spray.
- Texture extremely soft and satiny.
- Pigmentation is good.
- Product can not be easily picked with brush.
- Due to the glitter over spray, you don't exactly get what you see.
- Expensive.
My Rating:3.75/5
