MASARRAT MISBAH MAKEUP SILK FOUNDATION REVIEW & SWATCHES

Selecting the correct foundation color can be tricky, confusing and intimidating. It is mandatory as well as it makes or breaks your entire makeup look. To make it easy for you, here are swatches of all the 12 Masarrat Misbah  Makeup's Silk Foundation shades:

The Brand Claims:
This weightless liquid formula "tunes in" to your skin's need, controlling oil where there is a shine and moisturize where it's patchy for a long wearing balanced look, with true coverage.

My Experience:
Masarrat Misbah Makeup Silk Foundation is available in 12 shades with Porcelain being the lightest and Latte being the darkest.. I tried it in the variant Natural Warmth which complements my skin tone perfectly.
The foundation comes in a glass bottle with a pump that contains 30ml of product.

It is creamy in consistency, and holds its position. The texture is easy to apply, spread and blend without a lot of effort. You can apply it over your face in a single go or you can just work in sections, as I prefer. Once blended, it sets quickly. I need about 3 to 4 pumps to cover my face. Masarrat Misbah Makeup Silk Foundation provides a high coverage and does a fine at at covering the skin imperfections. It has a very light formula that settles in the skin easily without giving the uneasy feeling of a second skin. The finish is matte that works well for my oily skin. You may not need to apply a pressed powder over it unless you have an extremely oily skin. Since the formula has a tendency to transfer, it is advisable to use a primer. The foundation is very long lasting and can survive easily for up to 7 to 8 hours with occasional touch ups. It did not turn patchy or transfer unevenly so it is a pretty safe bet.

Full Face of Masarrat Misbah Makeup:
We ran an oil test on the MM Silk Foundation to show how much oil it releases over time. Here were the results. We were immensely pleased with these results as it did better than most high end formulas and some drugstore favourite foundations in terms of oil content.

Here's how Masarrat makeup Silk Foundation compared with other formulas in terms of oil content:

It is important to understand that while swatches help you in selecting the correct foundation shade, they are not the only factor to keep in mind when shopping for foundations.

5 Tips to help you select the correct foundation color:
  1. Swatch 3 foundation shades closest to your skin tone on your cheek. The one shade that blends with your skin tone is your true match.
  2. Foundations can oxidize and change color so you need to wait for about 20 minutes to see if the formula changes color.
  3. Once you have selected the shade, makeup artist Bobby Brown advises to double check the shade on your forehead.
  4. Understanding your skin tone is important in selecting the right foundation shade.
  5. Finally, know your skin undertone when shopping for foundation.
