TUTORIAL: DRY BRUSH ABSTRACT NAIL ART (PICTORIAL & VIDEO)

Hi guys. I have decided to start a new series on my blog in which I am going to be showing you guys super easy nail art designs. Designs that can easily be recreated by anyone. Even those who have trouble applying nail polish. So basically it is going to be nail art for novices.

The technique I am showing you today is called the Dry Brush Technique. For this design you will need the nail polish colors of your choice, base coat, top coat and a piece of tissue / paper towel.
To start off, apply base coat to your nails to protect them. Take a color of your choice and clean the brush against the neck of the bottle to get most of the polish off of it.
And then for good measure, wipe it lightly on a paper towel.
Swipe the almost bare brush into your nails to get specks of color here and there. I started off with a deep yellow from a random brand and followed the sequence given below.
Maybelline Express Finish in 39 - dark blue
Essence Colour & Go in 187 Juicy Love - red
Color Studio Haute Nail Color in Radiate - purple
Sweet Touch Nail Color in 1119 Poolside Blue
And again a bit of yellow.
Add a layer of top coat as soon as you are done to blend all the colors together.
Basically, you just keep on adding different colors until you get your desired result. Just keep in mind that the design is abstract and there is no science or pattern to it. Just go with the flow and have fun.

I chose to paint my ring finger a solid blue (Sweet Touch) and added a metallic stud to it. You can take the basic technique and add whatever embellishment or design you want to get your personalized version.
Here is a quick video tutorial on the nail art, just so you can get a better understanding of the instructions :)

Thank you for taking out the time to view this tutorial. Please note that this design is my own work and not a recreation. If you liked my nail art please share it with your friends.
