The Pakistan Fashion Design Council has announced its fifth consecutive Bridal Couture Week in collaboration with L'Orèal Paris. The most anticipated event of the year is set to happen in Lahore from 16th September to 18th September 2015. The platform will redefine the contemporary and traditional Pakistani Bridal fashion, while fusing hair and makeup trends to create looks for the upcoming bridal season of 2015- 2016.
A total of 22 independent designer labels will showcase their collections as full solo shows and capsule shows alike. The 5th PFDC L'Orèal Paris Bridal Week will continue to nourish the new generations of Pakistani design talent by continuing the Bank Alfalah's Rising Talent Show. Since its launch, the Bank Alfalah Rising Talent Show has positively catered to the development of Pakistan's emerging design talent. To further this, PFDC has introduced New Bridal Designers: an independent and organic extension of the rising talent showcase. This new platform will showcase the work of some new selective bridal designers.
In terms of designer line, presenting collections at PFDC L'Orèal Paris Bridal Week 2015 are: Ali Xeeshan Theatre Studio, Ammara Khan, Asifa & Nabeel, Èlan, Fahad Hussayn, HSY, Karma Red, Misha Lakhani, Nickie Nina, Nomi Ansari, Saira Shakira, Sana Safinaz, Sania Maskatiya, Shamaeel Ansari, Republic by Omar Farooq and The House of Kamiar Rokni. Additionally, the Bank Alfalah Rising Talent Show will comprise of 4 emerging bridal designers: Maheen Taseer, Zarmisha Dar, Faiza Saqlain and JEEM by Hamza Bokhari. PFDC Introduces: New Bridal Designers will bring to #PLBW2015 capsule collections by Suffuse by Sana Yasir and Mahgul.

This year, the PFDC L’Oréal Paris team will also redefine both bridal hair and make-up, whilst the styling and makeup teams will present their trends for the season using L’Oréal Makeup Designer Paris and Excellence Crème products. The participating bridal week hair and make-up styling team for PLBW 2015 will be Nabila/NGENT.
In addition to this, L’Oréal Paris will be announcing the launch of their popular global smartphone application Makeup Genius, which can be used to test favourite make-up products on the phone screen to recreate looks before purchasing the products. L’Oréal Paris will also be publishing their signature newsletters each day of Bridal Week showcasing looks created by the PLBW make-up teams using L’Oréal Makeup Designer Paris products along with a special addition dedicated to Excellence Crème. This year L’Oréal Paris Excellence Crème will also showcase their ‘Legends Collection’ on the runway and host a celebratory event in tribute to the Legends. L’Oréal Paris skin care, hair care, hair color and makeup products will be displayed throughout the event to allow all bridal week attendees to experience their complete range.
