Pigmented lips are caused by sun damage, inflammation or can even be inherited. Sometimes excessive production of Melanin, a chemical produced by the skin that determines its color, also gives way to pigmentation. People with darker Asian, African tones are the most vulnerable to this problem. It caters for the appearance of black spots on the body, including lips. I have put together some effective ways to cure pigmentation on lips.
- The most cheap method is a paste of turmeric and milk. Combine these two ingredients to make a paste. Before going to bed, apply the mixture on your lips. It takes about 5 to 8 minutes to dry then lightly rub it off using your fingers. While doing so make sure that you use gentle hands. Rinse it with water and apply your regular lip balm. Repeat this process every night for 2 to 3 weeks if you have light pigmentation. However, this period can elongate if you have serious pigmentation.(tried and tested)
- The next method involves the use of saffron. Take some saffron and mix it with a tsp of water. Apply it daily before going to bed. Repeat it for a few days and you will see the difference.
- Another method again uses saffron.Mix some of it with a tsp of milk cream. Apply it daily for a few days and your lips will be as pink as roses.
